Bird Hike

Join us for a hike at Lacey Keosauqua Beach House Lodge to explore and discover various bird species found in our local habitat. This 2-mile hike will have various terrain types from moderate to difficult. This trail is gravel and in timber so proper hiking attire and bug spray is recommended. We have a limited number of binoculars available if you don't have your own.

Spring Flora Wild Edible Hike

We will be looking at different flora throughout the lake trail and discuss about what types of places they are found in.

Bob Steingreaber Memorial Hike

Join us at Bentonsport Prairie for a 2-mile guided hike. This hike is in memory of Bob Steingreaber who was an avid outdoorsman and was a Van Buren County Conservation Board Member for 30 years! This trail is grass and dirt, proper hiking attire and bug spray is recommended. ​

Wild Edible Prairie Hike

Explore various prairie plants while hiking with us through Lake Sugema Wildlife area. This mile hike will cover various terrain from moderate to difficult. This trail is grass and dirt, proper hiking attire, sunscreen and bug spray is recommended. We will meet at the Lake Sugema Campground. Common flora may include Wild bergamot, slender mountain mint, common milkweed, white wild indigo, and swamp milkweed.
