Movie Night

No need to drive to the movie theater! Bring the family out to Lake Sugema Campgrounds. Remember to bring your lawn chair, blankets and snacks. This movie will be shown at the shelter house near the playground. Bug spray recommended. Kids 10 and under must be accompanied by a guardian.

August 5th at 9 pm​​

Monarch Tagging

Explore Bentonsport Prairie to tag monarchs. This guided program is to discover monarchs’ life cycle and the trip butterflies take south. This hike covers various terrain from moderate to difficult. This trail is grass and dirt, proper hiking attire, and bug spray is recommended.

Registration is REQUIRED, limited to 20 participants.

September 8th at 5 pm

Explore Lake Sugema Prairie to tag monarch butterflies. This guided program is to discover monarchs’ life cycle and the trip butterflies take south. This trail is grass and dirt, proper hiking attire, and bug spray is recommended. We will meet at Lake Sugema Campground near the non-reservable sites.

Registration is REQUIRED, limited to 20 participants.

Dutch Oven Cooking

Have you ever wanted to try Dutch oven cooking? Join us at Lake Sugema campgrounds to learn the basics of Dutch oven cooking and how to prepare meals for future camping adventures.  Remember to bring a camping chair this event to sit around the campfire. Bug spray is recommended. Kids 10 and under must be accompanied by a guardian. This event will be held in the non-reservable campsites at Lake Sugema.

Registration is REQUIRED, limited to 15 participants

September 9th at 10 am

Stargazing 

​Join us at Lake Sugema Wildlife Area campgrounds to view the night sky. This guided program is about discovering different star patterns and constellations. If you have a  telescope you are encouraged to bring your own.

​October 20th at 8 pm
Weather permitting, events may be rescheduled for a later date.
