Bentonsport Riverside park runs along the Des Moines River and Bentonsport Historic District.  The Conservation in the late 1960's invested in a few of the historic building.  Through time, these buildings were restored and now have different people renting the buildings for antique, art and craft shops.

The county also provides:
Campgrounds along the river
.
An Iron Truss bridge crosses the river and is safe for people to walk across.
A shelterhouse, gazebo, and rose garden is part of the Conservation park for visitors to enjoy.
